Steering Committee members typically meet 4 times a year to plan and coordinate programs of MOCC. No other face-to-face
meetings will be regularly scheduled, but special purpose or project meetings are possible.
Occasional work via e-mail, list-serve, or telephone conference call will be required through the course of the year, but
ordinarily this will not exceed two hours a month. More extensive time will be required during the evaluation and planning of programs to occur in mid summer.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide strategic direction and oversee developments of MOCC activities and events
- Act as a communication link between the MOCC and relevant stakeholders, both public and private;
- Serve for a term of one year! The Steering Committee will establish staggered term limits to insure continuity. Existing members may then be asked to volunteer to serve for terms longer than one year;
- Actively seek out and represent the broadest needs and concerns of your constituents and community of service;
- Represent the MOCC and Equality Maryland in a positive manner
